Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The second half of workshops in Autumn 2011 were focussed around the art of pantomime. To tie in with Union Theatre's January 2012 pantomime of Puss in Boots, the workshops were created to develop the children's confidence in performing pantomime, with the end result being a potted version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, written by Pauline Brand and adapted by one of the other members of Union Theatre.
Throughout the workshops, the children were able to design their own costumes to represent each of the dwarfs, create props and design a set in which the performance could potentially take place. One of the most essential parts of these workshops was focussing on characterisation and how each child needed to act and react on stage, based on the character they were playing.
